Hello beautiful people!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've decided to take a Christmas break. With a bit of luck I'll be back in early February.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's a bit sad but I think it's the best choice for now since I'm currently...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
... doing a full-time online summer course</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
... organising myself for Christmas</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
... aaaaaaand</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
BUYING A HOUSE! Wooo!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So as busy as I am right now, no doubt it'll get busier and taking an official blog break will ease my mind on this front :) If I get a chance I'll update every now and then, but not to a schedule.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Love you all loads my wonderful bloggy friends! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Wishing you all a very happy December and a Merry Christmas!</div>Rissa @ Hazel and Honeysucklehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13501301543192815364noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4468294071435108143.post-31426324031432282162011-11-30T09:54:00.000+10:302011-11-30T09:54:05.649+10:30We have a WINNER!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Time for another Christmassy installment!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've made a few baubles for the tree this year. It's so much fun making shiny, pretty things! I look forward to the day when I'll have kids of my own to do this with ^_^</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5kwOpUM5X1g/Tsjl26j4CBI/AAAAAAAABfU/NX8qoQ6hE2U/s1600/DSCF6251.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5kwOpUM5X1g/Tsjl26j4CBI/AAAAAAAABfU/NX8qoQ6hE2U/s320/DSCF6251.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>What You'll Need:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* 1 Styrofoam ball</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* Ribbons in Christmas colours (I also used sequin strings)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* Pins</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>What To Do:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Take one end of your ribbon or sequin string and pin it to the top of your Styrofoam ball. Wrap the ribbon all around the circumference of your ball and pin down the other end. To secure the ribbon further, pin it at the bottom and sides as well (3 more pins).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hw3OhAUIhBM/TsjlV6R6N6I/AAAAAAAABeg/4yOSEABZ1dQ/s1600/DSCF6114.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hw3OhAUIhBM/TsjlV6R6N6I/AAAAAAAABeg/4yOSEABZ1dQ/s200/DSCF6114.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VBgNFQ5kMNs/TsjlaKk1GBI/AAAAAAAABeo/zwXLAVHBOBU/s1600/DSCF6115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="148" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VBgNFQ5kMNs/TsjlaKk1GBI/AAAAAAAABeo/zwXLAVHBOBU/s200/DSCF6115.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Repeat this with another ribbon or sequin string. You can do this at a 90 degree angle to the first string like I did, or you can add the new ribbon just slightly overlapping the first one. The approach you take depends a bit on the pattern you want to achieve :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZG_ojIOgJY4/TsjljPmbizI/AAAAAAAABew/9XjLjvqmNHo/s1600/DSCF6116.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZG_ojIOgJY4/TsjljPmbizI/AAAAAAAABew/9XjLjvqmNHo/s200/DSCF6116.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Repeat this process, building up your pattern and switching ribbon types as you go.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L1j1imTVKwM/TsjlmuZtcXI/AAAAAAAABe4/G5ySgzutGHQ/s1600/DSCF6117.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L1j1imTVKwM/TsjlmuZtcXI/AAAAAAAABe4/G5ySgzutGHQ/s200/DSCF6117.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2L7lPDzc44M/TsjlqUvTaJI/AAAAAAAABfA/7WrH66nj4rI/s1600/DSCF6118.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2L7lPDzc44M/TsjlqUvTaJI/AAAAAAAABfA/7WrH66nj4rI/s200/DSCF6118.JPG" width="200" /></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When you've covered all of the white Styrofoam, you might want to wrap a final ribbon around the 'waist' of your bauble to hide all those side pins. Alternatively, you could use pins with pretty pearl-look heads :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Finally, pin a loop of ribbon to the top and hang it on your tree :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fUaper5DQiE/TsjluNV3lHI/AAAAAAAABfM/tuJg9AijlUg/s1600/DSCF6119.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fUaper5DQiE/TsjluNV3lHI/AAAAAAAABfM/tuJg9AijlUg/s320/DSCF6119.JPG" /></a> <a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5kwOpUM5X1g/Tsjl26j4CBI/AAAAAAAABfU/NX8qoQ6hE2U/s1600/DSCF6251.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5kwOpUM5X1g/Tsjl26j4CBI/AAAAAAAABfU/NX8qoQ6hE2U/s200/DSCF6251.JPG" /></a></div>

Last week the first really hot weather for the season hit, and it's not even summer yet!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span">On Thursday it was 34 </span>º<span class="Apple-style-span">C and on Friday it went all the way up to 37 </span>º<span class="Apple-style-span">C! *phew*</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span">(That's about 93 </span>ºF<span class="Apple-style-span"> and 98.5 <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: inherit;">ºF)</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Luckily, I had this nifty little number all made up and waiting patiently in the freezer ready to cool us down!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Blueberry & Raspberry Sorbet!</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span"><i>Recipe adapted from Cuisinart Recipe Booklet</i></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K0RS79erlCU/Trixw1MikvI/AAAAAAAABcE/gAUk0LxXBcI/s1600/DSCF6055.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="276" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K0RS79erlCU/Trixw1MikvI/AAAAAAAABcE/gAUk0LxXBcI/s320/DSCF6055.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>What You Need (makes 5 cups worth):</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* 4 cups of frozen berries (thawed)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(I used 1 cup of blueberries and 3 cups of raspberries)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* 2 cups of water</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* 2 cups of sugar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* A pinch of salt</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>What To Do:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium to low heat. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cook until sugar is fully dissolved.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Add salt and berries. Blend until smooth.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>At this point you can strain the mixture through a mesh strainer <br />to remove the seeds if you want to. </i><i>We opted not to.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>If you have an ice-cream maker: </b>Refrigerate for 2-3 hours (or overnight like I did). Turn on your ice-cream maker, pour in the mixture and let it mix for around 20 minutes. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i><br /></i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>If you <i>don't</i> have an ice-cream maker**: </b>Freeze for 4-5 hours (until almost set). Break sorbet up with a metal spoon, then transfer to a food processor. Process until a smooth, icy consistency is achieved. Freeze for another 4 hours then process again, repeat this at least twice, or until the desired texture is achieved. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(More repeats = smoother sorbet)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Transfer sorbet to an airtight container and store in the freezer between servings.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>** </b>I use an ice-cream maker, so this method is just a suggestion based on <a href="http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/3340/watermelon+sorbet" target="_blank">this recipe for Watermelon sorbet</a>. Use at your own risk ;D Most non-ice-cream-maker-machine recipes suggest the addition of <i>egg-whites </i>for a smoother texture. Also, <a href="http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2007/07/making-ice-crea-1/" target="_blank">this website</a> also has some great information on making sorbets and ice-creams at home.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

YAAAY! I can finally give in to my Christmassy feeling! :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Honestly, I usually dread Christmas because it's so BUSY and I get stressed out, but this year I've decided to chill out, take it easy and I'm SUPER excited! I've been in a Christmas mood for weeks - crazy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, here's my first of many Christmas tutes - sequined tree baubles!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I remember making these in primary school, so they bring back memories!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JzMdnyoldRc/TsOlN7lbvrI/AAAAAAAABeI/pTGJ_bG69o0/s1600/DSCF6254.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JzMdnyoldRc/TsOlN7lbvrI/AAAAAAAABeI/pTGJ_bG69o0/s320/DSCF6254.JPG" width="240" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">So pretty...!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>You Will Need:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* A Styrofoam ball</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* Sequins</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* Pins</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* Ribbon </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bHsRY90NMGU/TsOjDUHo1jI/AAAAAAAABcg/RHtliuzmmhk/s1600/DSCF6086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="254" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bHsRY90NMGU/TsOjDUHo1jI/AAAAAAAABcg/RHtliuzmmhk/s320/DSCF6086.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>What To Do:</b></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
These are pretty straight forward and you really can just pick up a ball and pinning sequins on whichever way you like, but I'll share my approach ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First I use some ribbon to section the ball. I wrap one length around the whole circumference of the ball, pinning at the top, bottom and half way down each side (4 pins total), then repeat with a second piece of ribbon at a 90 degree angle to the first so the ball is sectioned into 4 parts, like so:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r_rzxZ4O4vk/TsOjMdgUB4I/AAAAAAAABcs/Ob7N11M_7Vg/s1600/DSCF6087.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-r_rzxZ4O4vk/TsOjMdgUB4I/AAAAAAAABcs/Ob7N11M_7Vg/s200/DSCF6087.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2e3nVmst0TA/TsOjVABMKTI/AAAAAAAABc0/8EoI36AihjI/s1600/DSCF6088.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2e3nVmst0TA/TsOjVABMKTI/AAAAAAAABc0/8EoI36AihjI/s200/DSCF6088.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I fill a section with sequins! Pin them on, overlapping each sequin slightly and making sure they are tucked under the ribbon so you don't see any white. You could also paint or colour in the Styrofoam before pinning to be extra sure the white was covered :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wRy8GIvmQjo/TsOjeRiMj4I/AAAAAAAABc8/kmIS2LVK6WI/s1600/DSCF6090.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wRy8GIvmQjo/TsOjeRiMj4I/AAAAAAAABc8/kmIS2LVK6WI/s200/DSCF6090.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RAjsGw4AXHY/TsOjndisgRI/AAAAAAAABdI/lNmJtlp0r6c/s1600/DSCF6091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RAjsGw4AXHY/TsOjndisgRI/AAAAAAAABdI/lNmJtlp0r6c/s200/DSCF6091.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Since I've got 4 sections, I did two in red and two in green.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RSRFWXraaX0/TsOj5crLSsI/AAAAAAAABdY/Nx-Yimf045w/s1600/DSCF6100.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RSRFWXraaX0/TsOj5crLSsI/AAAAAAAABdY/Nx-Yimf045w/s200/DSCF6100.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m1p0YW6F-fU/TsOkCnz9LWI/AAAAAAAABdk/bQsb-IgS0So/s1600/DSCF6104.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m1p0YW6F-fU/TsOkCnz9LWI/AAAAAAAABdk/bQsb-IgS0So/s200/DSCF6104.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Nearly done! Just take a piece of ribbon, tie a knot in it and pin the knot to the top of your bauble.</div>

I just realised that I never shared the finished baby bag with you! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I finished the bag just in time for a trip back home to visit my Mum and my friend who I made the bag for. My friend loved the bag, which made me super happy! I was a bit sad because I was going to miss the baby shower (a fortnight after my visit) but very glad I could give the bag to her in person before the baby arrived!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And arrive the baby did - 3 days after my visit!! Baby Isla arrived 6 weeks early, tiny and perfect and thankfully very healthy! She's about month old now, and safely home with an ecstatic mum and dad! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Congrats guys! <3</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
OK, onto the bag! Here's some photos for your enjoyment! :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's a front shot. It's got pockets on the front, back and both sides. There are two straps, a long one for over the shoulder/body and a short one, and both have clips at each end so you can swap them around or leave both on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZpYOuNzUaLI/TrABmYY65fI/AAAAAAAABaE/FUX-bBqNsng/s1600/DSCF5729.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="352" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZpYOuNzUaLI/TrABmYY65fI/AAAAAAAABaE/FUX-bBqNsng/s400/DSCF5729.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's an inside shot showing the spotty oilcloth and the inside mesh pockets, the tops of which are elastic to hold stuff in. You can see the <a href="http://hazelandhoneysuckle.blogspot.com/2011/08/whip-it-up-wednesday-guest-post-repeat.html">baby change mat</a> I made popped inside the bag too ;)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yRbmDm9zsIw/TrABsv2q8PI/AAAAAAAABaM/TcsLVobJOwg/s1600/DSCF5735.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="277" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yRbmDm9zsIw/TrABsv2q8PI/AAAAAAAABaM/TcsLVobJOwg/s400/DSCF5735.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
So there you go! I got it finished just in the nick of time! :D</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

The recipe for these is based on <a href="http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/24731/vanilla+cupcakes" target="_blank">this Vanilla Cupcakes recipe</a> from <a href="http://taste.com.au/" target="_blank">Taste.com.au</a>, however that recipe just did NOT work for me! It rose so much that there was NO cupcake left in the cupcake liner! My version doesn't rise as much, but is still light, fluffy and yummy.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Vegan, Low-Allergen Cupcakes</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/2 cup gluten-free <i>plain </i>flour</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup gluten-free <i>self-raising</i> flour</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate soda</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/8 teaspoon salt (a.k.a a pinch of salt ;))</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3/4 cup gluten-free soy milk</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/2 tablespoon white vinegar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 teaspoons vanilla extract <b>OR </b>2 teaspoons orange extract & 2 teaspoons rosewater</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I actually used this yummy, scrummy <a href="http://couturecupcakes.com/2011/06/the-ultimate-dulce-de-leche-cupcake/" target="_blank">condensed milk buttercream icing</a> and it went really really well with both flavours of these cupcakes, but if you need a non-dairy alternative, the icing contained in the <a href="http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/24731/vanilla+cupcakes" target="_blank">original recipe</a> works very well.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

OK, I have a confession to make.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I took hardly any photos at our engagement party :O</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sorry guys :-/ Fail! I'll share what I do have at least!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you know, I made tonnes of decorations! But in the end, we ran out of time getting everything up and organised, even with help from all our parents! Plus, we weren't allowed to stick anything to the walls - boo! I guess that's the disadvantage of having a party at a hall instead of at home. Anyway, here's a piccy of the food table before the <i>copious </i>amounts of hot food arrived!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_kfq9_AwfEc/Tq_7vz5xBKI/AAAAAAAABZM/ozpSXg2ghiU/s1600/DSCF5798.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_kfq9_AwfEc/Tq_7vz5xBKI/AAAAAAAABZM/ozpSXg2ghiU/s400/DSCF5798.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Like my pennant banner? I wasn't sure how much space we'd have, so I made separate triangles and pegged them straight onto the twine! I also made circle markers with the food names on the front and ingredients on the back (so many friends with allergies, this was the easiest way to make sure everyone ate safe!), and popped them into jars and vases with some paper flowers. It looked quite pretty!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In the background of the pic below you can see my <i>vegan, allergen-free vanilla and orange & rosewater cupcakes</i> and in the front you can see the yummy <a href="http://hungryatmidnight.wordpress.com/2011/08/27/tiramisu/" target="_blank">mini tiramisu</a> I made! Mmmm!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_TABdyUJz-0/Tq_8IoLFWGI/AAAAAAAABZg/He6quYD8OWg/s1600/DSCF5801.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_TABdyUJz-0/Tq_8IoLFWGI/AAAAAAAABZg/He6quYD8OWg/s400/DSCF5801.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
My <strike>step-mum</strike> second mum was amazing! She took the day off work before our party to help me prepare and spent a heap of time making these delicious cold rolls. They disappeared SO quickly, I only got to eat one!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rqhi8CmOoOs/Tq_8MLjR_jI/AAAAAAAABZo/NYalppViQaQ/s1600/DSCF5802.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Rqhi8CmOoOs/Tq_8MLjR_jI/AAAAAAAABZo/NYalppViQaQ/s400/DSCF5802.JPG" width="261" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's my nommy <a href="http://hazelandhoneysuckle.blogspot.com/2011/07/whip-it-up-wednesday-nommy-edition-chai.html">chai cupcakes</a>! I misjudged and made about a <i>bazillion</i> of these and still have a stack of them in my freezer! Luckily they're my favourite cupcake, so it's no burden having to eat them all ;D </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h7OD1N6Dxj4/Tq_8Y2V2q_I/AAAAAAAABZw/iq3mvfnTJkk/s1600/DSCF5803.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h7OD1N6Dxj4/Tq_8Y2V2q_I/AAAAAAAABZw/iq3mvfnTJkk/s400/DSCF5803.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And here are my <a href="http://hazelandhoneysuckle.blogspot.com/2011/07/whip-it-up-wednesday-nommy-edition.html">black forest cupcakes</a> and <a href="http://hazelandhoneysuckle.blogspot.com/2011/10/whip-it-up-wednesday-berry-lemon.html">berry lemon cupcakes</a>, so much sugary goodness!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-g2GKAgY0cUU/Tq_8lazi_II/AAAAAAAABZ8/TFNY1PRmnX0/s1600/DSCF5804.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-g2GKAgY0cUU/Tq_8lazi_II/AAAAAAAABZ8/TFNY1PRmnX0/s400/DSCF5804.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also made semi-dried tomato, spinach and feta mini-quiches, sweet corn fritters and chicken mornay vol-au-vents, and we made pork and plum dumplings but didn't even bother to serve them because we just had SO much food!<i> </i>It was all very yummy, but we had a ridiculous amount of leftovers. Luckily, most of it got eaten for lunches and dinners over the next few days ;D I'll share recipes for some of the savoury things in the coming weeks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It was great having our friends and family together, but I can tell you one thing - I am not cut out for party planning! <b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">My Memories Digital Scrapbooking Software Review</span></b></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7AEZWCp7Ofg/Tq_ZBbamUjI/AAAAAAAABYY/_U6rx2eZ06Q/s1600/Practice+Album+2-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7AEZWCp7Ofg/Tq_ZBbamUjI/AAAAAAAABYY/_U6rx2eZ06Q/s200/Practice+Album+2-001.jpg" width="200" /></a><br />
<a href="http://www.mymemories.com/digital_scrapbooking_software" target="_blank">My Memories Suite</a> is digital scrapbooking software which lets you create entire scrapbook albums quickly and easily on your computer! It's compatible with PCs and Macs, and can be extended with a range of purchasable paper and embellishment kits, or you can make your own! It has an easy to use drag and drop interface and is super user friendly for those who are less PC savvy, while still being powerful enough for experienced scrapbookers!
<br />
<br />
<i>"My Memories Suite is rated #1 by Amazon for digital scrapbooking software and is of $40 value"</i>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7AEZWCp7Ofg/Tq_ZBbamUjI/AAAAAAAABYY/_U6rx2eZ06Q/s1600/Practice+Album+2-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">~ Pros ~</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nsNaSHe5wi8/Tq_YsR0JuYI/AAAAAAAABYM/wIwigq2LBx8/s1600/My+Family-002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nsNaSHe5wi8/Tq_YsR0JuYI/AAAAAAAABYM/wIwigq2LBx8/s200/My+Family-002.jpg" width="200" /></a>* Easy drag and drop interface</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Huge variety of papers, embellishments, etc </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Lots of cool freebies available including "quick pages" where you just add photos and text!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Very flexible - can add and format text, word art, shapes, change colours, transparency, rotation, etc
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Lets you make entire albums not just single pages</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Can make your album interactive, using sound and video</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Lots of 'export' options, from JPG image files, to movies, podcasts and can even burn to DVD</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* You're not limited to just scrapbooking! You can also create blog headers, avatars, calendars, cards, and I've even seen people recipe books! Impressive!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Also, their <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/MyMemories/140359372717593" target="_blank">Facebook page</a> is very active! I like that, because it means super fast and friendly technical support, giveaways, competitions, tutorials and even "speed scrap" events where you follow instructions as they're given and everyone posts their scrapbook page at the end! These are fun, very inspirational and educational! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm HOOKED!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">~ Cons ~</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* The software lagged a fair bit on my computer. However, quite a few programs do this to me and I haven't read of anyone else having this problem, so I suspect my computer just isn't quite up to scratch! It is a bit on the old side ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* You can't alter the colour of your papers or embellishments. You can alter the size, transparency, rotation, location, etc, but not the colour - they are image files which explains why you can't, but it'd be a nice feature.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* You can't "send to back"/"send to front" or change the colour of multiple items at once, you have to select one at a time (unless you group them first).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* Your scrapbook page is made up of layers which is great, however there's no way to see the layers explicitly (like you can in Photoshop or other graphics programs, for example). This would also be a nice feature to add.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">~ Summary ~</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
While there are a few little features I'd add, overall I've thoroughly enjoyed using this software and will continue to use it, and recommend it to my friends! It's so easy to use, really fun and it's so satisfying to see your scrapbook pages come together so quickly!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In case you missed it, here's the tutorial I shared!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Paper Doily Embellished Fairy Lights</span></i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A8sjpSvY7_M/TmJSVsharMI/AAAAAAAABQk/h5No7mXsVf4/s1600/DSCF5470.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="211" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A8sjpSvY7_M/TmJSVsharMI/AAAAAAAABQk/h5No7mXsVf4/s320/DSCF5470.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="320" /></a><br />
<b><br /></b><br />
<b>What You Need:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* 1 string of fairy lights</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* 1 paper doily for each light on your string </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>(I used 1/2 small and 1/2 medium sized doilies)</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Clear sticky tape</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Double sided tape</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Scissors</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>What To Do:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Take one of your doilies and make a cut from the outside to the centre. Put a little bit of double sided tape on the back of one of the cut edges, overlap that edge over the other to make a cone shape. Secure the other loose edge with another small piece of double sided tape. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EhxNzj3ANpc/TmJKQRc7mCI/AAAAAAAABPo/3N1gIlGcFog/s1600/DSCF5446.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="183" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EhxNzj3ANpc/TmJKQRc7mCI/AAAAAAAABPo/3N1gIlGcFog/s200/DSCF5446.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PEuugmsMxl8/TmJOktaj1bI/AAAAAAAABQY/o1bjQAlIqmQ/s1600/DSCF5448.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="182" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PEuugmsMxl8/TmJOktaj1bI/AAAAAAAABQY/o1bjQAlIqmQ/s200/DSCF5448.JPG" width="200" /></a> <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YMr1HBHmhis/TmJNM9pV9EI/AAAAAAAABQM/0F5V9uZ7wkI/s1600/DSCF5449.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YMr1HBHmhis/TmJNM9pV9EI/AAAAAAAABQM/0F5V9uZ7wkI/s200/DSCF5449.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now make one of these for each light on your string of fairy lights ... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Si1lFrBPDEM/TmJKihzzKkI/AAAAAAAABP8/7T0KQpsALjU/s1600/DSCF5452.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Si1lFrBPDEM/TmJKihzzKkI/AAAAAAAABP8/7T0KQpsALjU/s320/DSCF5452.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="317" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Right, time to put it all together! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Snip the tiniest bit off from the tip of your cone, just enough so you can push your fairy light through. When the light has been pushed through, take a small piece of clear tape and wrap it around the bottom of the cone to hold everything in place, like so:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ray779ELhx4/TmJKf_iZEUI/AAAAAAAABP4/TWr04d9VyPQ/s1600/DSCF5451.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="229" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ray779ELhx4/TmJKf_iZEUI/AAAAAAAABP4/TWr04d9VyPQ/s320/DSCF5451.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Repeat with a new doily cone for each light on your string.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Viola! It doesn't get much better than lacy fairy lights!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PV_22oej5S8/TmJSJ6OSk3I/AAAAAAAABQc/puRzPWSEGkU/s1600/DSCF5464.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PV_22oej5S8/TmJSJ6OSk3I/AAAAAAAABQc/puRzPWSEGkU/s320/DSCF5464.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j2cZ-ZGuUPA/TmJSO18dS_I/AAAAAAAABQg/xg70FuXcBjU/s1600/DSCF5467.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="315" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j2cZ-ZGuUPA/TmJSO18dS_I/AAAAAAAABQg/xg70FuXcBjU/s320/DSCF5467.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Easy peasy and super cute!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<i>Tip: You could also attach doily cut-outs, tissue paper pom poms or other embellishments in between each light to fill out your string even more!</i><br />
<i><br /></i><br />
<i>Tip #2: You could hot glue gun these together instead of taping them to make them more sturdy!</i><br />
<i><br /></i><br />
Thanks so much for letting me guest post <a href="http://www.sillypearl.com/">Steph!</a> <3</div>Rissa @ Hazel and Honeysucklehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13501301543192815364noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4468294071435108143.post-89853045413932986292011-11-01T22:34:00.000+10:302011-11-01T22:34:58.524+10:30Digital Scrapbooking Fun!<div style="text-align: center;">
A few days ago I received a very exciting email from a lovely lady called Liz. Liz works for a company called <b><a href="http://www.mymemories.com/" target="_blank">My Memories</a></b> and she contacted me to say she'd found my blog and thought my readers (that's you guys!) might enjoy a GIVEAWAY of their <b><a href="http://www.mymemories.com/" target="_blank">digital scrapbooking software!</a> </b>How cool is that?<br />
<br />
So, the last few days I've had the chance to play with the software and boy am I enjoying it!!<br />
<br />
It's super easy to use, very flexible and makes even a novice scrapbooker like myself look good!<br />
Here's the latest page I made, scrapping about our engagement!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nsNaSHe5wi8/Tq_YsR0JuYI/AAAAAAAABYM/wIwigq2LBx8/s1600/My+Family-002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nsNaSHe5wi8/Tq_YsR0JuYI/AAAAAAAABYM/wIwigq2LBx8/s400/My+Family-002.jpg" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">I <b><i>love </i></b>it!</span><br />
<br />
Liz has asked me to do a review, so when I post that I'll also post details of the GIVEAWAY!<br />
<br />
If you absolutely can't wait and must have the <a href="http://www.mymemories.com/digital_scrapbooking_software" target="_blank">digital scrapbooking software</a> before the giveaway, use my code <b>STMMMS3472 </b>and you'll get $10 off the software (usually $40, you'll get it for $30!) and you'll get $10 credit to use in the <a href="http://www.mymemories.com/" target="_blank">online store!</a><br />
<br />
<b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Stay tuned!</span></b></div>Rissa @ Hazel and Honeysucklehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13501301543192815364noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4468294071435108143.post-25472760686506750662011-10-26T09:00:00.006+10:302011-10-26T09:00:00.210+10:30Whip It Up Wednesday: Easy Paper Lanterns<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's another super quick, easy and fun party decorating idea! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I whipped up a stack of these for our engagement party - what fun!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>What You Need:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* Scrapbook or craft paper</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* 2 split pins/brads</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* <i>Optional: </i>LED tea light candle</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hole punch, scissors.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>What To Do:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cut strips of paper that are equal in length and width. About 2cm wide seems to work well. The length will determine how big your lantern is. I made mine in varying lengths, from shorties at 10cm to ones almost 30cm long. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>Tip:</i> Bigger lanterns will look 'fuller' and better with more strips, smaller lanterns need fewer strips. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Experiment and see what works for you.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-d5GlhNEmk_k/TnyqJt-TnhI/AAAAAAAABW4/q5TfJI3KnoA/s1600/DSCF5602.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="219" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-d5GlhNEmk_k/TnyqJt-TnhI/AAAAAAAABW4/q5TfJI3KnoA/s320/DSCF5602.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Use your hole punch to pop a hole in both ends of all of your strips. If your hole punch is strong enough, stack all (or half, whatever works) of your strips and do them all in one hit. This has two benefits - </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1) It's fast! And I'm lazy so fast = a very good thing</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2) It ensures that your holes are in the same position on all of your strips.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Kef0PJzdLhs/TnyqPwrErQI/AAAAAAAABW8/v0o2YMIJf3s/s1600/DSCF5603.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="218" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Kef0PJzdLhs/TnyqPwrErQI/AAAAAAAABW8/v0o2YMIJf3s/s320/DSCF5603.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stack all of your strips and put a split pin or brad through the lot of them.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QJyn6CfgQa4/TnyqUPzzLAI/AAAAAAAABXA/dT5gqps4kxY/s1600/DSCF5605.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QJyn6CfgQa4/TnyqUPzzLAI/AAAAAAAABXA/dT5gqps4kxY/s320/DSCF5605.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">
Secure the strips, then repeat at the other end.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jtWNOHeZmJM/TnyqX87BNMI/AAAAAAAABXE/tpksfyTzDzY/s1600/DSCF5606.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="188" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jtWNOHeZmJM/TnyqX87BNMI/AAAAAAAABXE/tpksfyTzDzY/s320/DSCF5606.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now, gently spread your strips out to form a ball! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0dDN7YwEUG4/TnyqbWrg5_I/AAAAAAAABXI/-I_VENaZG4Y/s1600/DSCF5607.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="185" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0dDN7YwEUG4/TnyqbWrg5_I/AAAAAAAABXI/-I_VENaZG4Y/s200/DSCF5607.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4xFvIi7xsB8/Tnyqe2rYnFI/AAAAAAAABXM/0yMe1-_b8js/s1600/DSCF5608.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="185" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4xFvIi7xsB8/Tnyqe2rYnFI/AAAAAAAABXM/0yMe1-_b8js/s200/DSCF5608.JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you have one handy, you can pop an LED tea light candle inside! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3OAoPlo83JE/TnyqiFl3kaI/AAAAAAAABXQ/8RKV3LDC3LA/s1600/DSCF5609.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3OAoPlo83JE/TnyqiFl3kaI/AAAAAAAABXQ/8RKV3LDC3LA/s320/DSCF5609.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It looks very cute in real life, sorry I fail at photography, you'll just have to trust me ;)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ax1e8FXbz3Q/TnyqkaQMAOI/AAAAAAAABXU/G8tMcZ05QVI/s1600/DSCF5611.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="176" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ax1e8FXbz3Q/TnyqkaQMAOI/AAAAAAAABXU/G8tMcZ05QVI/s200/DSCF5611.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pB9UIx7qnVQ/TnyqmSsUw8I/AAAAAAAABXY/FmO216uVieY/s1600/DSCF5612.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="171" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pB9UIx7qnVQ/TnyqmSsUw8I/AAAAAAAABXY/FmO216uVieY/s200/DSCF5612.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
To hang them up, just tie some wire or fishing line around the split pin/brad at the top.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These are SO easy you'll be able to make a stack of them really quickly, and they look very effective hung together in groups of mixed colours and sizes!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Happy creating!</div>Rissa @ Hazel and Honeysucklehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13501301543192815364noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4468294071435108143.post-81980264774354084182011-10-19T09:00:00.005+10:302011-10-19T09:00:00.854+10:30Whip It Up Wednesday: Berry Lemon Cupcakes<div style="text-align: center;">
I'll tell you this right now, these babies went down a TREAT! I took them with me to family tea and they were goners! Now that's what I like to see ;) These are definitely on the engagement party food list - which is this weekend by the way :D</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-01n8G-ugzdk/TnyjXGo8qPI/AAAAAAAABWw/JzzgaCAk524/s1600/DSCF5594.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-01n8G-ugzdk/TnyjXGo8qPI/AAAAAAAABWw/JzzgaCAk524/s320/DSCF5594.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I found the recipe <a href="http://vixenmade.blogspot.com/2011/08/raspberry-lemonade-cupcakes.html">here at Vixen Made</a> and altered slightly - I used raw sugar, raspberry swirl yoghurt and I used canned mixed berries instead of raspberry puree. If you use canned berries, just pick out the best looking ones and mush them with a fork - you still want the same amount of "mushed berries" as you would pureed raspberry. I also modified the method slightly to use fewer bowls because I'm lazy - less washing up!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Berry Lemon Cupcakes</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 egg</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/4 tsp salt</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 cup raw sugar</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 1/4 cups plain flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">
1 tsp baking powder</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">
2 tsp grated lemon zest</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">
31/4 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 cup raspberry swirl vanilla yogurt</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/4 cup mushed berries</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>What To Do:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Preheat oven to 180C (350F).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In a large bowl, whisk sugar, butter, and egg. Add yogurt, berries, lemon zest and juice and beat until smooth.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Add salt and baking power and stir well. Add flour a bit at a time and beat until smooth.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made mini cupcakes and this filled a 24 cupcake tin AND a 12 cupcake tin. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you make big cupcakes it probably makes 12 normal sized cupcakes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Line your tin(s) with cupcake liners and divide the mixture evenly between the liners. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Bake for 20 minutes (about 5 minutes longer for normal sized cupcakes).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Let cool and enjoy :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I topped mine with cream cheese icing (my favourite! Found at the bottom of <a href="http://www.tarteletteblog.com/2011/02/recipe-gluten-free-nutella-cupcakes.html">this recipe</a>) that had 1 drop of red food colouring. Then I added cachous because they're pretty :D</div>Rissa @ Hazel and Honeysucklehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13501301543192815364noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4468294071435108143.post-53254167697335690502011-10-12T09:00:00.047+10:302011-10-12T09:00:02.062+10:30Whip It Up Wednesday: Paper Roses<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These paper flowers take a bit longer to make than some of the others I've shared but are totally worth the effort! They're not hard, just need a leeeettle bit more patience :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>What You Need:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* Coloured paper (scrapbook or craft paper works well)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* A wooden skewer</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Scissors and a glue gun</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>What To Do:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cut out a bunch of petal shapes! As usual, I winged it and just took one thick strip of paper, folded it up a few times and then cut a petal shape out. I forgot to take a photo of this step using the purple paper, but here's an example in pink (I cut rounder petals for the rose too, see the picture below!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FZ7y16O3vxo/TnyaMYsVrfI/AAAAAAAABWM/rIN1AN-DTZ4/s1600/DSCF5504.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="124" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FZ7y16O3vxo/TnyaMYsVrfI/AAAAAAAABWM/rIN1AN-DTZ4/s200/DSCF5504.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QvR5L6VOauM/TnyaPxWfCbI/AAAAAAAABWQ/0zG5jcJig0Q/s1600/DSCF5506.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QvR5L6VOauM/TnyaPxWfCbI/AAAAAAAABWQ/0zG5jcJig0Q/s200/DSCF5506.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To make a rose you will want to make a few large petals and a few slightly smaller.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NdAW-sjzNlE/TnyV5NTSfmI/AAAAAAAABVk/tQktlevjohE/s1600/DSCF5564.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="194" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NdAW-sjzNlE/TnyV5NTSfmI/AAAAAAAABVk/tQktlevjohE/s200/DSCF5564.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When you've got your petals it's time to shape them. First, roll the petal up from the tip to the base and then unroll it again. This makes the petal more pliable and gives it a bit of shape.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qVJgQcEE0ok/TnyV87RSp3I/AAAAAAAABVo/tCRYL4cSLVA/s1600/DSCF5565.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qVJgQcEE0ok/TnyV87RSp3I/AAAAAAAABVo/tCRYL4cSLVA/s320/DSCF5565.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now gently roll the top edges inwards diagonally, like so:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F-HyKr-7bWE/TnyWAdRO7LI/AAAAAAAABVs/YNzgFrN951M/s1600/DSCF5567.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F-HyKr-7bWE/TnyWAdRO7LI/AAAAAAAABVs/YNzgFrN951M/s320/DSCF5567.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Do this for all of your petals.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LgO_eoIx_ek/TnyWEZbMnlI/AAAAAAAABV0/nUVyH2KeQlc/s1600/DSCF5568.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LgO_eoIx_ek/TnyWEZbMnlI/AAAAAAAABV0/nUVyH2KeQlc/s320/DSCF5568.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Time to assemble our rose! Take one of your smaller petals, run a bit of glue along the bottom of the petal and glue it onto the top of your wooden skewer, rolled corners facing outwards:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UbHccj9VhfU/TnyWG8ufbII/AAAAAAAABV4/w9kbObTpnm8/s1600/DSCF5569.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UbHccj9VhfU/TnyWG8ufbII/AAAAAAAABV4/w9kbObTpnm8/s320/DSCF5569.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now take another petal and repeat the process, attaching the second petal opposite the first one.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-p6cgRa96Hxk/TnyWI76ca1I/AAAAAAAABV8/31rJThCB4z8/s1600/DSCF5570.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="241" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-p6cgRa96Hxk/TnyWI76ca1I/AAAAAAAABV8/31rJThCB4z8/s320/DSCF5570.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Continue using this method to add petals and build up your rose. For your first layer we just used two petals, but each layer will need more and more petals. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ddvK0tQqOlw/TnyWLgkAMWI/AAAAAAAABWA/xbDNszL9TVA/s1600/DSCF5571.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ddvK0tQqOlw/TnyWLgkAMWI/AAAAAAAABWA/xbDNszL9TVA/s320/DSCF5571.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Stagger the petals so they slightly overlap at the edges. Use the smaller petals first, then the larger petals for the outside of the rose. Shape the petals as you go.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ixWQ3xor3vg/TnyWOLxx4pI/AAAAAAAABWE/Q3IoJ4jCcOo/s1600/DSCF5572.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ixWQ3xor3vg/TnyWOLxx4pI/AAAAAAAABWE/Q3IoJ4jCcOo/s320/DSCF5572.JPG" width="310" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Just for comparison, here's the pink rose I made using the same technique but </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
without rolling or shaping the petals before attaching them: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Va-JvWMThJU/TnycO-bjQaI/AAAAAAAABWU/HVVLjk5bzHA/s1600/DSCF5520.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="308" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Va-JvWMThJU/TnycO-bjQaI/AAAAAAAABWU/HVVLjk5bzHA/s320/DSCF5520.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think you'll agree that the rolling/shaping of petals is worth it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ENMXePQvycw/TnyWRkKMvyI/AAAAAAAABWI/zOR_JCDjbHE/s1600/DSCF5573.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="270" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ENMXePQvycw/TnyWRkKMvyI/AAAAAAAABWI/zOR_JCDjbHE/s320/DSCF5573.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Happy flower making! :D</div>Rissa @ Hazel and Honeysucklehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13501301543192815364noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4468294071435108143.post-55094560391417906912011-10-08T09:00:00.001+10:302011-10-08T09:00:00.533+10:30Bringing The Outside In...<div style="text-align: center;">
Fresh flowers make me happy! So when I found these lovely little bottles and vases at the op-shop I knew exactly what I had to do!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G4NKUBpUWlk/TnyeaQHM5wI/AAAAAAAABWc/LYHxNLCXwgY/s1600/DSCF5647.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="385" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G4NKUBpUWlk/TnyeaQHM5wI/AAAAAAAABWc/LYHxNLCXwgY/s400/DSCF5647.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Bring a little of the outside in! Just a few snippets from our garden, some water with (wait for it...) aquarium plant food in it and there you have it! The aquarium plant food did wonders, a couple of snippets that were wilting perked right up again!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TPvPvuohTDw/TnyefkMMJ4I/AAAAAAAABWg/yPlCl9cAGSY/s1600/DSCF5648.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TPvPvuohTDw/TnyefkMMJ4I/AAAAAAAABWg/yPlCl9cAGSY/s400/DSCF5648.JPG" width="303" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This definitely makes me happy. Time to put fresh flowers in again now though. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Might have to raid a neighbour's garden for a bit of variety ;)</div>
<br />

I originally found these sweet Crepe Paper Poinsettias on <a href="http://thebridesguide.marthastewartweddings.com/2010/01/diy-crepe-paper-poinsettias.html">Martha Stewart's website</a> and now I love them! You'll love them too because they're just SO easy to make!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>What You'll Need:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Crepe paper</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* Wooden skewer</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* 3 small beads for the centre</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Scissors and a glue gun</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>What To Do:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cut a diamond shape from your crepe paper. Mine is kind of square-like... :-/ Diamonds are better ;) Also, try to make sure the grain of the crepe paper goes from top to bottom (again, unlike mine!) as this will make twisting and shaping your petals much easier.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNIo56cXyVo/TnyIoutEYgI/AAAAAAAABU4/mnAO75Xl968/s1600/DSCF5547.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="167" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNIo56cXyVo/TnyIoutEYgI/AAAAAAAABU4/mnAO75Xl968/s200/DSCF5547.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Bunch your diamond in the middle and give it a twist to hold it in place. Make 3 of these.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cKRboq1mXE4/TnyIukOIRYI/AAAAAAAABU8/WHRkkifjws8/s1600/DSCF5548.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="144" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cKRboq1mXE4/TnyIukOIRYI/AAAAAAAABU8/WHRkkifjws8/s200/DSCF5548.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pEXXWP1354s/TnyIyyy9COI/AAAAAAAABVA/kV2uwBZo1lM/s1600/DSCF5550.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pEXXWP1354s/TnyIyyy9COI/AAAAAAAABVA/kV2uwBZo1lM/s200/DSCF5550.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Don't you love my imperfect petals? Oh dear! But actually the flower turns out really well anyway, these are very forgiving! Glue your three sets of petals together like so:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T2zDqppddOs/TnyI3a80K2I/AAAAAAAABVE/9UcoCEOYxPo/s1600/DSCF5551.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="261" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T2zDqppddOs/TnyI3a80K2I/AAAAAAAABVE/9UcoCEOYxPo/s320/DSCF5551.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Glue three beads in the centre of your flower:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eTyt8R1W8l8/TnyI8WxN97I/AAAAAAAABVI/DNepMshGwTI/s1600/DSCF5553.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="279" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eTyt8R1W8l8/TnyI8WxN97I/AAAAAAAABVI/DNepMshGwTI/s320/DSCF5553.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now we're going to attach our poinsettia to a wooden skewer. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Grab a small rectangle of crepe paper and your skewer.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_ey6yBLkuSw/TnyJBgQriPI/AAAAAAAABVQ/hzjW4WglPfs/s1600/DSCF5554.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="218" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_ey6yBLkuSw/TnyJBgQriPI/AAAAAAAABVQ/hzjW4WglPfs/s320/DSCF5554.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Run a strip of glue along the bottom edge of your rectangle and then roll it around your skewer. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You should end up with something like this:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-if0IUGVCJUk/TnyJFIHFUEI/AAAAAAAABVU/FHUcn22_w8A/s1600/DSCF5555.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-if0IUGVCJUk/TnyJFIHFUEI/AAAAAAAABVU/FHUcn22_w8A/s320/DSCF5555.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Use your scissors to make three snips in your crepe paper, then pull the edges back</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mwvxRajJ6Js/TnyJHez4OhI/AAAAAAAABVY/FCP2439bfEA/s1600/DSCF5557.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="243" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mwvxRajJ6Js/TnyJHez4OhI/AAAAAAAABVY/FCP2439bfEA/s320/DSCF5557.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Place glue on each of the three 'tabs' you've just made, then press it into the back of the poinsettia.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bq1WcNbIzvs/TnyJLvCV7WI/AAAAAAAABVc/3kGo_wopBTM/s1600/DSCF5558.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bq1WcNbIzvs/TnyJLvCV7WI/AAAAAAAABVc/3kGo_wopBTM/s320/DSCF5558.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now you're done! Nice work ;D</div>

I've been a busy little bee making decorations for our upcoming engagement party :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Do you like my bouquet of paper flowers? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f4IuN1Rg6ZE/Tnx_OeIAMLI/AAAAAAAABTw/-hkS8Fsiwnk/s1600/DSCF5575.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="257" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f4IuN1Rg6ZE/Tnx_OeIAMLI/AAAAAAAABTw/-hkS8Fsiwnk/s320/DSCF5575.JPG" width="320" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h7vdyOlLxks/Tnx_SlX6p9I/AAAAAAAABT4/Dn1xBBKegZg/s1600/DSCF5624.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h7vdyOlLxks/Tnx_SlX6p9I/AAAAAAAABT4/Dn1xBBKegZg/s320/DSCF5624.JPG" width="254" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'll use these to brighten up the food and drink table along with a few other decorations.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Just because I love you guys, I'm going to show you how I made all the different flowers :D<br />
Let's start with the doily flowers!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>What You Need:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>~ Per flower ~</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* 1 wooden skewer</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* 1 doily</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
* 1 or 2 beads for the centre</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Scissors and a glue gun</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>What To Do:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Take your doily and cut it into a spiral, like so:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Xr1kLNlHF0A/TnyBGLjhS8I/AAAAAAAABT8/-kLbCBj8O5k/s1600/DSCF5476.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Xr1kLNlHF0A/TnyBGLjhS8I/AAAAAAAABT8/-kLbCBj8O5k/s320/DSCF5476.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now, I used double sided tape to make this flower but after a couple of days it came unstuck! So I recommend you use your hot glue gun instead. Just be careful of your fingers getting burned!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Place a dab of glue on the back of the centre of your doily spiral and pull the end around as far as you can to create a small 'cone' shape.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cuIhSyb76N0/TnyBMwCp3UI/AAAAAAAABUA/6j3-a1ZJR_M/s1600/DSCF5478.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cuIhSyb76N0/TnyBMwCp3UI/AAAAAAAABUA/6j3-a1ZJR_M/s320/DSCF5478.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Place a dab of glue on the outside edge of your cone and pull the loose part of your spiral around, building up another layer of your 'cone'. Continue this until you've built a nice large cone shape and used up all of your doily spiral.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9AlwiZNW870/TnyBQABzoGI/AAAAAAAABUE/oyhVeBhlsQ8/s1600/DSCF5480.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9AlwiZNW870/TnyBQABzoGI/AAAAAAAABUE/oyhVeBhlsQ8/s200/DSCF5480.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DtkwlTh5fnU/TnyBVirCPlI/AAAAAAAABUI/8ziS--3bxS0/s1600/DSCF5482.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DtkwlTh5fnU/TnyBVirCPlI/AAAAAAAABUI/8ziS--3bxS0/s200/DSCF5482.JPG" width="194" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now you should have something that looks like this:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gk3zGLnaoLQ/TnyBY9lbnYI/AAAAAAAABUM/joOeARB2Wk0/s1600/DSCF5483.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="319" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gk3zGLnaoLQ/TnyBY9lbnYI/AAAAAAAABUM/joOeARB2Wk0/s320/DSCF5483.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Right, grab your wooden skewer and glue gun a bead or two onto the pointy end. I used a wide hole metallic bead and a gemstone chip on the very end.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--JDqpAlYODI/TnyBbpjW23I/AAAAAAAABUQ/fcxiWyrpj3c/s1600/DSCF5484.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--JDqpAlYODI/TnyBbpjW23I/AAAAAAAABUQ/fcxiWyrpj3c/s320/DSCF5484.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Snip a little hole in the centre of your doily flower and thread your skewer through.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-p7zY_PrJd8U/TnyBgLOS6qI/AAAAAAAABUU/_bcWMD1X420/s1600/DSCF5485.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="289" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-p7zY_PrJd8U/TnyBgLOS6qI/AAAAAAAABUU/_bcWMD1X420/s320/DSCF5485.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For extra strength you might like to run a ring of glue around the underside of the flower, where it meets the skewer. I found this useful on my other flowers :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You're done! Make yourself a stack of them for a pretty arrangement!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uoNEiqbxdcU/TnyBjc-GjsI/AAAAAAAABUc/cLsT3fXHWWo/s1600/DSCF5486.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="188" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uoNEiqbxdcU/TnyBjc-GjsI/AAAAAAAABUc/cLsT3fXHWWo/s200/DSCF5486.JPG" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CIR1LDoh4Wg/TnyBnQNIJWI/AAAAAAAABUg/6Pzq0r3eFu8/s1600/DSCF5487.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="188" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CIR1LDoh4Wg/TnyBnQNIJWI/AAAAAAAABUg/6Pzq0r3eFu8/s200/DSCF5487.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NdBQcNqjEFQ/TnyGLzJJ-2I/AAAAAAAABUk/7FOpwo_kfjM/s1600/DSCF5497.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NdBQcNqjEFQ/TnyGLzJJ-2I/AAAAAAAABUk/7FOpwo_kfjM/s320/DSCF5497.JPG" width="305" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It's that busy time of year where we have lots of birthdays in our family, as well as things like Father's Day, and that means lots of cards! Hopefully I'm not boring you too much ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This card is for my Nan's birthday. She lives a 5 hour drive away from me so I don't get to see her anywhere near as often as I would like. I hope she likes her pop-up bouquet card!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0EJ8TVKqWq8/TmHCRcnfskI/AAAAAAAABOg/jfMBSkzrTfA/s1600/DSCF5440.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0EJ8TVKqWq8/TmHCRcnfskI/AAAAAAAABOg/jfMBSkzrTfA/s320/DSCF5440.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This idea comes from <a href="http://www.marthastewart.com/photogallery/mothers-day-clip-art-and-templates">Martha Stewart's site</a>, where you can also find downloadable templates if you so desire. This is the original version:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images.marthastewart.com/images/content/pub/ms_living/2011Q2//pop-up-card-flower3-0511mld107066_xl.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://images.marthastewart.com/images/content/pub/ms_living/2011Q2//pop-up-card-flower3-0511mld107066_xl.jpg" width="256" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I like to make things up as I go, so here's how I made mine.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First we need to make seven flowers. For each flower, you need one square of coloured paper. I used squares approximately 3" x 3" in purple, blue and yellow.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QAGzw6G2fwc/TmHCpBzaa2I/AAAAAAAABOk/jymLobxP_uM/s1600/DSCF5422.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QAGzw6G2fwc/TmHCpBzaa2I/AAAAAAAABOk/jymLobxP_uM/s320/DSCF5422.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Fold your paper in half, then half again, like so:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LhqcOjKLwnE/TmHCrydljVI/AAAAAAAABOo/OmemlDPkM7I/s1600/DSCF5424.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="195" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LhqcOjKLwnE/TmHCrydljVI/AAAAAAAABOo/OmemlDPkM7I/s200/DSCF5424.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pptGIVRltz8/TmHCuh-0P_I/AAAAAAAABOs/pW8lA1CvC6k/s1600/DSCF5425.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="184" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pptGIVRltz8/TmHCuh-0P_I/AAAAAAAABOs/pW8lA1CvC6k/s200/DSCF5425.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Fold in half diagonally, like so:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tk5AMOXpiCc/TmHCx5lFlzI/AAAAAAAABOw/K0w0KuFzJks/s1600/DSCF5426.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tk5AMOXpiCc/TmHCx5lFlzI/AAAAAAAABOw/K0w0KuFzJks/s320/DSCF5426.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then take some sharp scissors and cut the end so it's rounded. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When you open it up you should have a flower shape!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BhmrH4veco0/TmHC1OwvlJI/AAAAAAAABO0/5tQgMwhrxIU/s1600/DSCF5427.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BhmrH4veco0/TmHC1OwvlJI/AAAAAAAABO0/5tQgMwhrxIU/s200/DSCF5427.JPG" width="200" /></a> <a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Bf_lMwLiaBc/TmHC4tfh63I/AAAAAAAABO4/fP1lWaTBJis/s1600/DSCF5428.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="174" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Bf_lMwLiaBc/TmHC4tfh63I/AAAAAAAABO4/fP1lWaTBJis/s200/DSCF5428.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now cut out one petal. Pop a bit of double sided tape on one of the petals next to the newly created gap, then stick the petal from the other side of the gap onto it. This gives you a 3D flower!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U4zC6LtgioM/TmHC8PdqUgI/AAAAAAAABO8/DC-JWIloH1E/s1600/DSCF5429.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U4zC6LtgioM/TmHC8PdqUgI/AAAAAAAABO8/DC-JWIloH1E/s200/DSCF5429.JPG" width="200" /></a> <a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-khMC8AEPFMs/TmHC_NjOeHI/AAAAAAAABPE/yaT6GoO3LKY/s1600/DSCF5430.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-khMC8AEPFMs/TmHC_NjOeHI/AAAAAAAABPE/yaT6GoO3LKY/s200/DSCF5430.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now make 6 more ;) You need 7 in total.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3sVOD3iWb1Y/TmHDCU46UyI/AAAAAAAABPI/4xeT6wp16V8/s1600/DSCF5431.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="290" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3sVOD3iWb1Y/TmHDCU46UyI/AAAAAAAABPI/4xeT6wp16V8/s320/DSCF5431.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
To assemble your card, take one flower to use as the central flower and on the back of each petal use a small piece of double sided tape to attach it to the petal of another flower. You should have something like this when you're done:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ectdcuJhKLM/TmHDGKxK-kI/AAAAAAAABPM/rd6xIFCNscI/s1600/DSCF5434.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ectdcuJhKLM/TmHDGKxK-kI/AAAAAAAABPM/rd6xIFCNscI/s320/DSCF5434.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now use small pieces of double sided tape to attach the tips of adjoining petals where shown in this image:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UZuwrBPBK2Q/TmHWOnYxSEI/AAAAAAAABPk/T1HmaGTDpgg/s1600/DSCF5435+-+Copy.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="304" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UZuwrBPBK2Q/TmHWOnYxSEI/AAAAAAAABPk/T1HmaGTDpgg/s320/DSCF5435+-+Copy.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now you should be able to fold it down flat along a the centre, like so:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XtJu3E8K4YI/TmHDLQ5BfFI/AAAAAAAABPU/B_sGwDp5Doo/s1600/DSCF5436.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XtJu3E8K4YI/TmHDLQ5BfFI/AAAAAAAABPU/B_sGwDp5Doo/s320/DSCF5436.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pop a piece of double sided tape on the middle petal (the middle petal on my yellow flower below), and then close the card around it to attach. Repeat with the other side of your bouquet so that both sides are secure. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-je7KNcUMW1c/TmHDPP-mrvI/AAAAAAAABPY/kBi-2wDKhmk/s1600/DSCF5437.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-je7KNcUMW1c/TmHDPP-mrvI/AAAAAAAABPY/kBi-2wDKhmk/s320/DSCF5437.JPG" width="297" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
If you want, cut some leaf shapes and fold them in half to give a 3D feel.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EhgiHW0HVQw/TmHDTGUHBcI/AAAAAAAABPc/kVKynwvB95c/s1600/DSCF5439.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="190" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EhgiHW0HVQw/TmHDTGUHBcI/AAAAAAAABPc/kVKynwvB95c/s320/DSCF5439.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Attach them anywhere that they don't get in the way of opening and closing your card :) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The inside is done! It's up to you to decorate the outside ;)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0EJ8TVKqWq8/TmHCRcnfskI/AAAAAAAABOg/jfMBSkzrTfA/s1600/DSCF5440.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0EJ8TVKqWq8/TmHCRcnfskI/AAAAAAAABOg/jfMBSkzrTfA/s320/DSCF5440.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Happy Wednesday!</div>

Happy Tuesday everyone! I've been busily crafting decorations for our engagement party and thought I'd share tonight's effort. It's so simple that you won't need a blow by blow tutorial to make your own!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lcK4gNA9FA4/Tm9aJMEjXtI/AAAAAAAABQ4/cRMpaW-gUDU/s1600/DSCF5626.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="268" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lcK4gNA9FA4/Tm9aJMEjXtI/AAAAAAAABQ4/cRMpaW-gUDU/s320/DSCF5626.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cute party jars! Just pop an LED tealight candle (not a real one, we don't want to burn the paper!) inside a cupcake liner, inside a nice clean jar and use your trusty glue gun to decorate the jar with vellum paper and rick rack in a "bunting" design! Tie a ribbon or (like me!) a "cord" of crepe paper around the top of the jar and you're done! A party in a jar! :D</div>
